We streamline the subdivision process
Zaina Stacey was established by Michael Zaina and David Stacey.
At the time, we were two property development consultants, each of us with around 20 years’ experience. Our decision to start up a subdivision consultancy came about because no-one else was offering a truly client-focused subdivision service, where all running around was handled by a professional – things like dealing with government bodies, making sure plans are compliant, paying fees and levies, organising surveyors and pegging, and all the other finicky bits and pieces that subdivision involves.
We made a conscious effort to assist the ‘mums and dads’ developers – people who weren’t ‘in the know’ – to help them through the subdivision process, and give them the best chance for a positive outcome. From this, we gained a very good reputation – mainly through word-of-mouth – for our professionalism, availability and efficiency.
Today, many of our clients are still one-off developers who are happy for Zaina Stacey to handle their subdivision. However, that’s not to say we don’t work with developers and builders. Zaina Stacey is highly regarded in the industry, because we know what we are doing, and we do it with a minimum of fuss.
We streamline the subdivision process, from planning and lodgement to final approval. Much of it consists of processes, paperwork and chasing up people. Fortunately, we know the right people to chase and, more importantly, they know us. It makes for a positive, relatively fast and cost affective outcome.
Zaina Stacey has formed excellent working relationships with relevant government bodies, like SA Water and Planning SA. We look at the big picture (not just the plans in front of us) and are proactive in our efforts to make our consultancy a point of contact for all concerned.
In the end, it’s all down to communication. We are big on communicating, especially with our clients. From the start, they know what we’re about and what to expect (regarding the various stages and costs). And we keep on communicating until the job is complete. No-one is left wondering – the whole process is totally inclusive.
